Step 2: Choose Landing Page Template

You start by clicking ‘Landing Pages’ in the white top menu. Then, on the next page, you’ll have to click the green button ‘Create a Landing Page.’ This page shows all the landing page templates.

The best landing pages for this kind of affiliate funnel will be the 3 first options:

1. Simple Sign Up
2. Personal Promotion
3. Book Promotion

It works great if you give away a freebie to bribe your subscribers when signing up. This is also called a lead magnet, and it will motivate more people to subscribe to your list. If you have a lead magnet, then you should use the ‘Book Promotion’ template. 

For the purpose of this guide, we won’t use a lead magnet and choose the template: ‘Simple Sign Up.’

Click on the template to go to the landing page builder.

Step 3: Customize Squeeze Page

The first time you are using the landing page builder, you’ll see a help wizard with a 4-step tour to get you started. The first step describes how to edit the content in the existing elements. In the second step, you see how to add more elements to the page with drag-n-drop. The third step explains how to edit the social media icons sharing settings, and the last step shows you how to save the landing page.

Start by naming the landing page at the top left corner. This name is internal and will help you identify the landing page later on.

Next, you have to customize the template to fit your affiliate business. You need to edit the following elements:

1. Header
2. Paragraph
3. List
4. Change the logo image
5. Text area background
6. Button color and text
7. Background
8. Social media icons

Logo: Click on the logo and then click the green button ‘Upload An Image.’ Now choose the logo file on your computer. If you don’t have a logo, then you can create one for free here: Create a free logo now.

Text area background: Choose a color that fits with your brand identity. Click the background and then click the BG Color square. Pick the color you want and click apply when you are done.

Button color and text: Choose a color that matches your background color. Click the button and then click the color square. Choose the color you want and click apply. You can also change the shape of the button.

Background: Choose an image or color that fits your brand and niche. Click the background image and select the ‘Background’ tap. Then click ‘remove image’ and ‘Browse for file’ to choose an image on your computer. If you don’t have an image, you can download free stock images on Pixabay.

Social Icons: Click the icons and choose ‘edit’ to set up the linking to your social media profiles. Click ‘remove’ on the icons you don’t want to use.

Lastly, you can change the ‘page settings,’ where you can create a custom page path, edit social sharing info, and insert tracking ID for Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel.

Click ‘Save & Exit’ when you are finished customizing the page.

Step 4: Create Custom Thank-You Page (optional) 

There is an automatically generated Thank-You page to the squeeze page. However, this page can’t be customized, so it’s a good idea to create a custom thank-you page. The thank-you page is a great opportunity to motivate subscribers to read the emails. It also allows you to promote an affiliate product. You can promote the affiliate product by inserting a button with your affiliate link.

If you want a custom thank-you page, then you can create it with the landing page builder. Now you need to repeat the process from step 3, where you make a few different changes.

You should choose the same template as before, so the thank-you page looks similar to the squeeze page. Start by making the same changes with the colors and background as before. Additionally, you will need to change a few more things:

1. Header
2. Paragraph
3. List (optional)
4. Remove opt-in form
5. Add header (optional)
6. Insert button (optional)

Header: Write a short thank you header. Example: Thank You For Signing Up

Paragraph: Write a short description of the list and what they can expect to receive from you in their inbox. Example: You are now subscribed to our healthy lifestyle list. We are excited to help you reach your goals and become healthier!

List: You can choose to list a few more benefits to make them excited about what’s coming as a subscriber of the list. Example: Here is what you can expect in your inbox: Daily updates with health tips and tricks, The best recipes for healthy food, And much more…

Remove opt-in form: Click on the form and then click ‘Delete’ at the bottom of the element. 

Add header: Drag-n-drop the ‘Header’ element from the elements on the left-hand side or hoover the header at the top of the page and click copy. Then move the header down below the list. You should use a lower size header, such as 2-4. You can choose to add text below the header. Example – Header: Exclusive Offer. Insert button: Drag-n-drop the button below the new header you added. Then edit the text and change the background color in the color square. Finally, click ‘Apply’ when you have chosen the color.

Step 4b: Redirect To Custom Thank-You Page (optional)

If you created a custom thank-you page, you’d need to change the redirection link on the squeeze page.

Go to the ‘Landing Pages’ page and publish your Thank-you page with the blue button ‘Publish.’ Now copy the Thank-you page link that appears. Then click the title of the squeeze page to go into the landing page builder. Now click the opt-in form, then click ‘Submission’ on the right-hand side and choose ‘custom’ in the ‘Thank-You Page’ drop-down menu. Next, insert the Thank-you page link in the ‘Custom URL’ box. Finally, click ‘Save & Exit’ to finish the setup.

Step 5: Publish Affiliate Funnel

The last step is to publish your squeeze page. You can do this by clicking the blue button ‘Publish’ on the ‘Landing Pages’ page.

Tip: Create a custom link destination to make the URL look better. You do this inside the landing page builder. Then click ‘Settings’ in the ‘Page Properties’ section on the right-hand side. Then write your custom link in the ‘Custom Page Path’ box.

You can also use a custom domain, but this requires you to buy a domain, hosting, and set up a WordPress website. Then you can install the AWeber plugin and integrate your landing pages in a few minutes.
